I believe that's what he's running in the video, though I don't know if there are any significant differences between his and your set-ups.

The bracket at the gearbox fit 4 & 5 speed boxes & the bracket in the cab has designs for petrol & diesel floor pans. |

I've never been introduced to cable shifting before, though I'm a complete sucker for these types of upgrades, and two questions come to mind.
It's mentioned earlier that this is intended to give a car-like feel, and someone states they wish these would have come from the factory. Is this something found on modern cars? I've never stopped to think what modern cars use for shifting linkage.
Given that they are the best darn cables known to man, do they stretch at all? Over time? Initially? Are there going to be occasional adjustments to make to take out slack? Thanks. |

Nice work.
Is this for 2wd only, or Syncro as well? It's not clear from the thread...

Looks like good quality cables:
The shifter mount seems to require some more finessing. |

These cables will be fit & forget. Their constuction is such that at the working loads they will see in this application there will be no stretch. They are designed to work happily at push loads of 210 lbs, I am measuring less than 40 lbs going through the cable.

Yes quiet a lot in Europe.

Hopefully Syncro's as well, but we need to do a fit & function.

Prototype on the film, 2nd generation being made. 3rd generation with boot in my head.
"why?"
I guess you have a good linkage, mine was getting really bad. I design cable gearshifts for trucks & buses, so it was just something I wanted to do & to share.[/b] |
