I'm trying to refurbish my gates and have made it to the inner sections.
Where there is a the 3 rectangular round corner indents that run through the middle of the gates or 4 on a SC. Going from top to bottom of the inset(if looking from the outside) are those flat or curved? Mine are so damaged i can't tell which way its suppose to go |

If you mean the pressings in the skin between the reinforcement ribs they were flat. |

Definitely flat, of course with heavy load use those tend to get bubbled outward a tad. |

For the next guy who has an earlier DC than yours. Early DC's used cut down single cab side gates re-welded shorter before their own gate stamping came along. That means there was a seam in one of the rectangles.
If i recall:
- VW 59/60 the center pressing has the seam.
- Binz. The front has the seam.
