Damn that stirred the pot quick. The rail was junk. Back to the Baja. Need to find the floor for the passanger side. I found a perty much complete dp 1600 at the wrecking yard missing a genartor for $175. Might pick it up tomorrow. Dont know yet. Think I might do the floor pans and chassis then worry about the motor.

I was just joking about the baja, used to have one of my own and loved it, but ckeck out my rail.....note license plate on front...legally on road.

Just got the pan in the garage. Cutting the floors out tomorrow.

Got the passanger side floor board cut out. I am going to use sheet metal to replace them. I am going to take 1"x2" tubing and lay it flat and make a frame on the top of the sheet metal once its in to make the floor stronger and tie the outer rails where the body bolts to the center tunnel so I can weld the cage to that and mount the seats easyer. pics as soon as I can.

didn't say it wasn't possible... but you don't see too many with the body,windshield,mirrors,head/tail lights and other stuffs you need runnin' around here on the streets

You know if you didn't live so far away i would get the EMPI steering stuff from ya. or do some kind of trade i've got a few VW stuff laying around.... keep up the build

damn I did it again. Got more then one project at a time. I got a quad from doing a motor in a buddys truck. So im going to run it for now. So the baja has to go. So if anyone needs a car let me know check out the classifieds.
