Hello everyone,

I now have my HAZET 4500/9 and 4500/10 tool set for Volkswagen carburetors complete.
(I don't need the box, my tools are in one of my Hazet Assistants)
https://www.vw-t2-bulli.de/hazet-4500-de.html
(HAZET 615, 2587, 4501, 4503, 4505-1, 4505-2, 4507, 4507-1, 4513-13, 4513-14)

I found 2 versions of the HAZET 4507 (1969-2000) carburetor adjustment gauge - one with holders made of brass and plastic:

And a soft-head hammer HAZET 1950-4 (1952-1988) that was sometimes as 1972 part of HAZET 2500 equipment for Volkswagen...
made from yellow Cellidor (cellulose acetate butyrate):

And beside the longer version HAZET 8816 G some post before now also the short version HAZET 8816 GK (German: Gelenk+Kurz = English: joint+short) 3/8" ratchet as an option for workshop equipment for air-cooled VWs in the 1970s for spark plug inserts:

Nice to hear. A wholly grail Hazet assortment that most don't even know about. 8)

Hello everyone
Recently found this 809P toolroll (Großer Werkzeugsatz in Plastic-Tasche) in exceptional good state and almost complete. Got it from a nice old man.
Should be dated +- 1965 hence the mixture of "little" a and "large" A tools.

Hazet 300g hammer no. 2140 is stamped with CADOS logo, as rsbadura found out earlier.

I'v never seen this 809 set before. How rare would it be?

great score.

Q: what's the tool to the right of the screwdriver?

doesn't look like any tool has been used.

thanks

can anyone provide info on the differences in length of the Hazet 764 spark plug tool?
I have 3 in the collection of different lengths. Measured with the stick inside that is basically the stick length.
135mm
120mm
95mm
all have the same 764 number and no suffix. All Hazet 764 Germany D.B.G.M.

Hello,

the Hazet 764 was available from 1950-1988.
In some catalogs there is no length value listed. So this is what I found:

year length inscript
1950 225 mm Hazet
1952 225 mm Hazet
1958 215 mm Hazet
1965 230 mm HAZET
1967 230 mm HAZET
1972 230 mm HAZET
1976 135 mm HAZET
1979 135 mm HAZET
1985 120 mm HAZET

All mine are small "a" and only the medium measures to something close with bar extended straight out, 215mm
Not certain how they were measured at Hazet

Not as interesting as the spark plug wrenches, but still a Hazet: large A Hazet 2141-4. English style ball peen machinist’s hammer. Found in a German Army tank toolbox .

For the record, if you are collecting tools for your Leopard tank, other manufacturers in box were Voltus, Acesa, SKG, Wuro, VBW, and Mechanic.

Neighbor with Pinzgauer and MB G-wagens pointed out my Hazet 715 tire iron is included in his tool kits. Looks like they still sell this or a similar version.

There are a ridiculous number of Pinz, G-wagens and VW buses in my neighborhood; i need to make them all haul out their tool boxes and see what turns up.

I have a couple…
Both have underline extending to the right, connected to the “H.”
I believe there were “L” underline 764’s, right?
Any help w/year would be appreciated… if it can get any more granular?
Top one is 222 mm, has a step in the middle, brushed finish at socket.
Bottom one is 213 mm, tapered (no step), polished socket.

No, this is no "L" underline. And the Hazet 764 was not listed in the L time catalog 1949 or before.

This connection of the line has also been used several times over the years on some small inscriptions - probably to protect the production tools.
E.g have it also at a near 1965 "Hazet" 1860-1 wire stripper - and others.

Please also keep in mind: not everything was manufactured by HAZET itself - since there were so many variants, maybe there were several suppliers for this cheap tool. And back then there were not always such strict corporate identity guidelines. And expensive manufacturing tools were used until new ones were worthwhile, even beyond CI guidelines changes. So it can be only a rough indicator of age.

Hello everyone,

added another old version of the Hazet 916 1/2" ratchet to my collection 1952-1969 (the "Herbrand S-10" styled versions era):

1952 - 1958 - with slotted screws at the front, flat cover at the back and upper & lower case of the brand "Hazet"
1958 - 1960? - with Phillips screws at the front, flat cover at the back and upper & lower case of the brand "Hazet" (still missing in my collection)
1960? - 1965 - with Phillips screws at the front, cover at the back with 2 bulges and upper and lower case of the brand "Hazet"
1965 - 1969 - with Phillips screws at the front, cover at the back with 2 bulges and upper case of the brand "HAZET"

beside other old 3/8" ratchets as HAZET 8816 G, 8816 GK and
a new 1/2" 916 HPLG (High Performance Lang Gelenk - up to 1000 Nm force, long, adjustable length joint - maximum almost twice as long):

Hazet 808 - A car toolkit, in black leather / vinyl map

This exact model is somewhat different from the model referenced in the 1972 catalog; and the toolkit disappeared in the 1979 catalog. Is it referenced in a catalog between 72 and 79 ? Perhaps someone can help me with that?
