Any idea which of the 3 contacts I should connect the negative too? I’m guessing the one that in the middle then lowest connector to positive when only using a single speaker

To answer my own question.

I found on the 356 forum a similar question on a
Later model radio. Basically ‘no damage is caused by reversing speaker polarity just doesn’t sound as good’ and ‘Never turn the radio on without a speaker connected’

So i tested it

I plugged in the Wolfsberg West speaker which is 4w and 8ohm 165mm diameter.

The negative in the middle connector and positive in the lowest position worked best.

I’ll post some pictures when it’s installed. Fitting the speaker kit to a bus isn’t a 2 minute job because You can’t fit it without dropping off the lower dash panel.
