I have a bay, but I'm not proud.

Usually keep it in the closet, er, garage..

I brought my tree dented rack down for him to dissect post mortem. I have drunken hopes occasionally of getting it straightened out enough to use even if it's still got character

I bet you one carne asada burrito that he fixes it. Also he introduced me to Birria tacos! F-ing good.

Clatter, I want to get drunk with you and see how Bay you really are. I have a feeling you are all talk.

This weekend I replaced the Bosch 010 to a Bosch 009. The Brasil made contact points did not give justice to the bus. I used two to these but same thing, it ran a couple of times but the plastic that is directly in contact with the shaft would always break! Hence, the Bosch 009 is the better choice now!

Cool to see a bus towing a T3

From a few weeks back but a bay rode shotgun in my T3   took the Squareback to the junkyard to get parts for the bus. I’ve also hauled part of a westfalia interior home in it

Maybe not, but I've had it since 2000, and it still runs great. 8)

That's a super clean bus, man.

notchboy Tue Mar 12, 2024 8:01 am

Wow. Started this in 2009.

The connection I made that stuck me funny back then and even before then, was I would always find hard to find Type 3 stuff from guys that owned buses. At swaps or on the net kind of things. The second thing I found interesting was they either didn't know what it was for sure or didn't care. One mans trash, nuther treasure thing for sure. But if I got to chatting with most of them, they had in their yard a Type 3 they loved but never restored or got around to.

A VW person owning other types is not unique, but seeing die hard Bus people talk about their love for Type 3s as if it were forbidden was funny to me. Still is, but I don't see it anymore.
