you should fly up and spend the weekend!!! or drive the SC, or the Notch, or Oval, or the Super, or whatever the heck else you currently own! 8)

Vwrascal Mon Jan 04, 2010 3:18 pm

I will definitely try to make it up to the show this year! I wanted to come last year but stuff came up at the last minute and I missed it.

Marking my calendar and looking forward to it! 8)

llovette Mon Jan 04, 2010 3:32 pm

After having to deal with a heart attack over Thanksgiving holiday, I am looking SO forward to this and as many shows that I can enjoy this year. No more sweating the small stuff, You just don't know.

kellydogg Mon Jan 04, 2010 4:51 pm

Damn son, that's early

Pencil me in.......would love to camp this year, if it's not pouring down rain :D

mister bungle Mon Jan 04, 2010 9:30 pm

I guess I can make it 8)

maybe I'll get some sleep during the week leading up to it this year....try to do any work I wanna do to the car ahead of time for once in my life

heart attack???holy hell man glad you're alive!

some people are gonna have to step up this year and give Brian and Ed a hand , it's too much for just 2 guys to kill themselves over-we'll have plenty of time to talk about that at some spring GTGs though

I'm buying my ticket when I get paid on Friday. I need to get with John and see what his plans are, ya know, so I can crash at his place on the free tip.

mister bungle Tue Jan 05, 2010 8:26 am

ok we're gonna have to do work to impress the florida guys that are coming up...they have some nice stuff down there so we'll probably have to get them super drunk to make our cars look good :P :P

VWBeachBum Tue Jan 05, 2010 9:14 am

damn, this much response so early is good thing! ;-)
yeah it seems early but June will be here before you know it and we've got alot to do between now and then...Printing up real Flyers this year, Tshirt Designs, some Sponsors, cool raffle items, 3 days of cool events, and some other cool surprises at the show this year!

kelly--you bringing the 64 up this year or the squareback? you had the best photo last year nestled between 2 356s!!! ;-)

llovette--heart attack? wow, that's some serious stuff, glad dripfest is on your list of shows this season! ;-)

Vwrascal: definitely hope you can make it up, it's a lot of fun in that non-car show kinda way! 3 days of fun!

as Paul mentioned, yeah, this is an OCOD show, so we'll be utilizing our members this year to help with parking, setup, etc etc this year....and for those of us last year that attended, sunday after cult classic i was friggin dead to the world, hell i actually i forgot what i was ordering at the ice cream place at cult classic last b/c i was sooo damn exhausted... ;-)

hey Sean, kate and i just both said the same thing---you can stay at our place when you come up here...John is going to have a 1month old in June, and Benjamin will be 8months and already sleeps through the night! we've got plenty of room and a few vws to drive around---you'll look great in a triple white 92 cabby with ROXYVW on the license plate!!!  8) Are Wil and Corey entertaining the idea of coming up for Dripfest too? if you're here for a week, there's another show the following weekend up the road from our house...so you'd be up here for like 5days of vw fun! not to mention the random chaos that will occur during the week!

Wait what John's pregnant? That fucker never tells me anything! When did this happen, I'm assuming 4 months ago? I have to admit I didn’t see this one coming.

mister bungle Tue Jan 05, 2010 9:25 am

idea

any thoughts on D O B's band playing at the show? I'd build a stage...

I think I saw the square with a new owner?

Let's hope this year is an ever bigger turnout!

Sean:
yup! which is cool--so now he's currently on the prowl for pre70 squareback, so he has a vw-family car! i told him i'd sell him my square but he's hoping for a non-shark-nose squareback! ;-)
Once we get this year's DF design from John, do you think Lester would be down for doing posters for us. i asked him last year and he said yes but we didn't get the design in time for him to run them off. that's why this year we're starting a bit early this year for DF 2010!!! ;-)

Paul:
the thought of a band has crossed my mind, we need to chat with the Tikibar folks, that could be a cool possibility...i was also thinking of Lou's band (stifflou). Not sure if Suburban Hoodz would reunite for Dripfest, but maybe Lou's new band could play. Lou will most likely be at the show with his bug!

Chris:
well then we need the new owner to roll out to Dripfest this year. we had just over 80cars last year and it rained the day before which kept some folks home for DF even though the weather was perfect. So with all of us promoting the show this year, let's keep our fingers crossed to hit the 100 mark. there was a group of 914 owners from TN that were planning on cruising up last year but the rain friday night kept them home, so hopefully we can get some more 'out of state-ers' to attend this year!

mister bungle Tue Jan 05, 2010 12:51 pm

totally forgot about stifflou- cool dude, met him last year at the show

llovette Tue Jan 05, 2010 2:28 pm

The Sellersville crew will help get the Florida boys get their drink on. I look forward to the whole weekend!! A little heart attack wont stop me and my bus showing. I just have to stay off those damn cigs!!! A band sounds awesome. If I can help in any way give me a holla. Last year there was a Phish concert the day of the Coopersburg show.

slammedtiki63 Tue Jan 05, 2010 5:09 pm

hey Brian don't know if you remember me telling you I plan on getting ordained to be a minister online ! We could do a blessing of the cars !!

Yeah man, it's gone........needed some $$$ to put down on a SUV for the future family  ....No biggie, still got the 64 and have my eyes open for another cheap project :D

Mike:
the sellersville crew helping with drinking....that's awesome! 8)
that's right i remember you telling me about the phish show the day after DF. Feb marks 2yrs for me being smoke free, wait til you see how much money you'll save and have to spend on random vw accessories! 8)
hope to see the sellersville crew out at some OCOD monthly gatherings this year before DF!

Matty:
i think we should start advertising weddings at DF--you can marry people correct? they could get their photos taken with any vw in the parking lot!!!

Kelly:
i thought you had the Liberty for the family car? we love the rabbit but know that we'll likely have another and will be upgrading to an audi wagon or vw wagon down the line!...something with all wheel drive (for snow and sand of course!)...maybe roll fuchs on it too! ;-)
