Yeah, too bad they got a Chevy dealership and not a VW one. Bet VW would go after them for the sign though :lol: I did spot a VW used cars sign in the garage though.

So, are you saying this is an old photo of the shop they now own, and that they are refurbishing it back into an old car dealership?

Or are they refurbishing a different shop to look like this one?

This was built by Tucker Baird in 63'... then owned by Whitaker.. operated till late 70's.. it's a restaurant now..

I think that is the car that Mike bought from Rex Newman in Hampton , Illinois.
The guy that Rex bought it from was a G.I. who got the car in Germany and had to install the newer turn signals when importing it to U.S. And, yes, it had been repainted long ago.

Nice add to the thread! I saw this episode a few days ago and what a car collection Andy has amassed. Not only does he have an excellent taste in cars and bikes but he also seems like a genuinely nice guy. The Speedster unveiling was amazing. No crazy fanfare or gushing but just very matter of fact “yeah, this is my Speedster”.

Watched the show for several years when it first came on. Now I don't pay for TV, so I only see it occasionally. A discussion of what is seen on the show is great, but when a random name is dropped, even if I had watched the show I might not have caught it.

The show has unfortunately jumped the shark. I saw an episode at my mother-in-law's place recently. It has become a bit cringe worthy. Much like most other "Reality TV".
