thx I also found a few other replacements a bit less expensive as well
VW part numbers
switch 171-927-145A(smaller Green bit in vc pic),
switch on gear selector that touches the contacts on 311-927-147B

contact carrier plate w/ red wires 311-927-147B (White plastic in the vc pic)

Will the switch kit work on a 1973?

The contact has worn through on mine and the springs fell out. I can only find the white part that all the wires connect to. I just bypassed it for now but I would like to fix it so I can have reverse lights and only have it start in P and N.
