There are so many kewl Squarebacks in the world, so i've also decided to do a restoration on my '69 Squareback. I hope to be back on the streets in may.
I started to strip the car on jan 4, 2010.

cleaning the floor ... there was a lot of rust, but only two small holes.
and i stripped the seats too. i've to weld them, because the are in a bad condition.

january 21, welding the holder for the pop-outs cause my squareback was a "cheap" one.

well, that is not so easy because the old fabric has lost it's size. i hope that it will be fit correctly!

I like the look of the redneedles!
but ... the have 6V!
:-(
so i removed the 6V parts and build the into the 12V armatures.
clock was very tricky, because the needle was mounted very strong!
but i finally did it - 12V REDNEEDLES!!!

yes. just wrapped with fleece and sky (leather imitate).
its easy and looks fine (for my opinion) |

Nice work so far, I like your fabric selection for the interior.
I tripped out on your thread title, 'cause I'm working on a '69 squareback named "Wilson" also. Although I'm not really restoring it, just getting it roadworthy and then reducing it's roadworthiness by slamming it. |

| Nice work. Really like the fabric you are useing. Squarebaks rule! I just bought a 69 that is identical to my first car I had in high school back in 83. Takes me back every time I get behind the wheel :D |

i dont know ... the rubber mat was from another type3. but i think it was a "cheap" one too ;-) |
