Hey all. I need some help form anyone with a semaphore car. I am trying make cemaphore cans for my '53 (which was restored without them), and need the following info: Distance from the rain gutter to the tow of the opening, the full length of the opening, and the full width of the opening.
All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

| From the bottom of the rain gutter to the top of opening ...one side is 5-3/4" the other side is 5-15/16" (original paint car), the opening is 7" top to bottom and 11/16" wide..... |

| Are you sure that the semaphore cavities aren't just covered up? I would think that ALL '53 bugs had semaphores. |

| well, the dim-witt that restored it replaced the whole roof clip, including the semaphore cans with a '57 roof clip (cuz it was cheaper apparently). The posts dont have the pointy-indentation on the door jam part beside the openings, which is why i believe they are gone completely. |

Mine are 5 7/8" from gutter to top (both sides) measuring straight down more like 6" with a bendible ruler, 7" length and 11/16" wide... |

| OK, thanks. I will have to see. I may have a lead on the real deal cans, but its still good to have the exact measurements to get em dead-on in place. |

Cool so its not just my 53 that they are not evenly spaced from 1 side to the other |

| So what is correct, equal on both sides or one lower than the other? |

| Say equal on both sides. The factory would have tried to make it equal. |

| 5 7/8" from gutter with bendable ruler. Equal on both sides. Chris' bug is RHD - so who knows anyways ;) |
