I heard that some other VWs from 86-92 used the same Mass AFM as the 86-91 Vanagons? ie. Jettas, Rabbits, Golfs. Is this true? |

You're correct. 1.8 engines with digifant II used the same AFM |

Are the part #s identical? I went to the local junk yard and found a '90 Golf with part #0280202106 and a '92 Jetta with part #0280202130. They both don't match the number on my '86 Vanagon which ends in 079. Will they still work? |

Back in the nineties my father took the afm out of a 77 bus and put it into an 89 jetta with no problems so my bet is it will work just fine. |
