| beauty rings are somewhat universal, just head to your local junkyard and buy a set of rings off anything with 15" wheels. usually they are around $10 for as many as you can carry. i had some chevy truck rings on my squareback that fit perfect |

If you've been reading along you'd see its not so much about fit as it is about finding ones that look correct or even as close as possible as original vw beauty rings. About any 15" ring may fit but they dont all fit well, they dont fit like original ones where they dont cover the outter edge of the rim and they dont all look right. |

I'm not sure what 'smoothies' are. I ordered these from CIP1. Originally I used rustoleum textured black on the wheels. But it looked odd being the same color as the tires so I ordered the rings. It's a '67 body on a '72 IRS chassis. The hubcaps hold the rings in place. After 3 months of use I haven't had any problems.

If you've been reading along you'd see its not so much about fit as it is about finding ones that look correct or even as close as possible as original vw beauty rings. About any 15" ring may fit but they dont all fit well, they dont fit like original ones where they dont cover the outter edge of the rim and they dont all look right.
yes, but what i am saying is you can shop around in junkyards and fine some that will fit perfect and look right for a fraction of the cost. |
