View original topic: Rear Brake Line Replacement

I am replacing all of the flex brake lines in my 1991 westy as summer camping season is aproaching. The new rear flex lines are about twice as long as the old lines. I looked on line and the parts appear to be correct. The front look correct, just the rear are too long. Anyone have this problem before and is there something I should be doing differently? Thanks

My receipt shows this as PN for hoses I used on my '81.

433 611 775 A

BD shows this part with same # Looks to me like all MY:

If needed, here's a write up I did on how I did rear flex and hard lines

VanNut,
Nice writeup.
Thanks for sharring.
I highly recommend a Motive Power Bleeder for the one man bleed.

Thanks!

Yes. Easy to build one. I used mine to pressurize reservoir w/air (most seem to push fluid in). Bled @ 12 PSI. No visual change in flow rate at rears using 15 PSI. (was cautious as reservoir is old... '81)

Thanks all for the info. Checked the part number and there is no "A" at the end. Reordering the rear lines.

I was curious. Googled PN in quotes w/o "A". Maybe you had this?

The PN was sort of close it was a 443 611 775 and should have been 433 611 775A. The 443 number goes to the front of an Audi. Probably just missed the number at the parts store. New (correct) ones will be in tomorrow.

Right on. Enjoy the job. ;)
