Hi all....tried a search to no avail. I am in the process of installing new rear trailing arm bushings and after carefully grinding through the fused hardware I am now aware that my van has no ecentric washers installed. They are currently discontinued by VW and am curious if anyone has successfully aligned the rear w/o these?
TIA,
Eric

There aren't any eccentric washers on the rear trailing arms. The adjustments are carried out by loosening the bolts, moving the bolt along the slotted opening and tightening. Page 44.4 in the Bentley shows the adjustment procedure. |

I don't have my bentley here at work but could have sworn they showed an ecentric washer. I thought that it allowed you to adjust camber while puting a screwdriver in the slot above the outside bolt. I just looked at the part that vancafe listed and now I realize it was used for upper control arm and not rear trailing arm...DOH! Thanks for the reply Chris..I'll be using your DIY alignment write up soon :D |
