[quote="Dave"] It's in a barn in Northern CA, that's all I'll say for now
Compare the steering wheel on that chassis to this one on a April 1943 Type 60 KdF Wagen. To my knowledge that fully molded steering wheel was changed over to the "naked" three spoke steering wheels shortly after April 1943. So we may assume that this chassis is latest May 1943 or earlier. The chassis# will hopefully be known and will reveal that secret.

I was thinking more along the lines of cutting the front frame head off, putting a Super Bell 4 inch dropped axle and Ford wire wheels, and maybe a turbo 2332 with Berg 5 speed.... I suppose it wouldn't be a nice thing to do, to narrow the beam on a short shock front end, would it?

What's that I hear crunching up the gravel driveway to my house? It's the Vintage Nazi Storm Troopers, I guess I said too much...Oh, dear, they said I am going to somewhere in a "Relocation Camp" in Massachusetts, something about a Commandant Henry... |

I take comfort in the thought that you guys are actually joking...
If no factual information is forthcoming in the shortest of time, this thread is going to to get out of control.
Seriously though, I can't wait to see more info on this find. |
