View original topic: Type of solenoid for aux battery?
1995Eurovan Thu Jun 03, 2010 1:41 pm

I've read the posts about Yandina vs. solenoid, but I bought my Eurovan used and the aux battery was already wired with a solenoid and mounted to the firewall. The solenoid is bad and I want to replace it. It is a 3-lug metal cylinder with no make or part number so the local auto parts stores can't cross-reference it.

I'd rather not rewire with a kit, etc. Can I use a regular "continuous use" solenoid, or does it have another name? It seems to be referred to as a "dual battery switch" in some places.

Thanks for any help,
Mark
