That is definitely a reasonable price for that car, but have no interest in dealing with shipping/export into the US from overseas.

Regarding your 64....well, i'm sorry, but its not even in the same universe for me. If it doesn't have a round or a split window - I'm not owning it. Again, no disrespect intended to your car.

Car now unfortunately sold.

The new owner has requested anonymity which I will respect, other than to say that it couldn't have gone to a better home.

I will sleep soundly knowing who and how it will be cared for.

I feel like we are at the end of a movie that we don't want to end. However, whatever your circumstances are, LT, I wish you the best of luck and am keeping you in mind and prayers if you need it. I want to thank you for your sharing in this build. It has taught me a lot and I will refer to it often. Whatever happens, I hope this thread is kept around.

thats awfully hard in the VW world and on the Samba unless you live under a rock, never drive the car, have no internet access and lock the car away in a sealed vault,,,however congrat's on the sale, this thread was great, I got alot of tips out of it, and as one of the other posters said, its like the end of a movie or a really good TV series nobaody wants to see end, since its sold you shold have EB lock the thread, its a great referance tool, thanks for the info, good luck with your new endevor... 8)

The new owner will reveal themselves when they are ready. It won't disappear.

Don't worry guys, I'll be back with another build real soon with just as much detail and just as many pictures.

As I say, money is not the issue, but there has been an event which makes it emotionally impossible for me to keep the car. Please understand and let's leave it at that.

I'm happy for the thread to be locked at this point - can someone arrange for this to happen?

Maybe it would be helpful to other enthusiasts if it was a sticky?
