I am trying to figure out what the correct color is for my interior dash knobs, steering wheel and column, etc.. Some of it looks a little gray (kinda dirty white) and others look silver beige. The seat frames look closer to silver beige. I've been trying to source new dash knobs and can only find gray, black or ivory. Some of the ivory looks extremely yellow.
Any thoughts? Will paint hold up on the knobs? |

1964 interiors were all new from the beginning of the model year (after 5677119) Ivory was discarded at that time and replaced with Silver Beige on the dash and door knobs and escutcheons.
I never liked Ivory very much, it always looks like "Stained By Cigarette Smoke" color to me.
Silver Beige paint and trim was also used on the steering wheel, turn switch, steering column, seat frames and bar under rear seat, dash grab handle, sun visors, "granny straps", gear shift knob, heater knob, hand brake button and upper seat belt plugs/escutcheons.
Gray Black was the color used for the gear shift boot, hand brake boot, floor mats, lower seat belt plugs and escutcheons, rear kick boards, and the carpet.
