I have this weird little knob behind my feet on the driver side seat

not sure what it does
it pulls out and seems to be connected to some electrical wiring,
can't seem to find where it runs underneath
nothing happens when i pull it...

does anyone have a similar knob or know what it does?

It opens the heater vent to the rear of the bus. The vent is on the aft portion of the step through to the rear, between the front seats.

Wow! I also came across that knob-just yesterday & was wondering the same thing.....weird.

in ancient days before the internet (yes, i know it's nearly impossible to believe there was such a time), people would look at printed literature pertaining to their vehicles.
now, some people who had the vehicles were fortunate enough that when they bought the vehicle, something called an "Owner's Manual" would be included with the purchase, but as vehicles changed hands, these "Owner's Manual" items would often become lost or missing.
however, many of the unfortunate serfs were not handed the knowledge of the elders when they got a vehicle. they were doomed to having to leave the safety of their houses, venture out into the scary real world, and go to these things called "shows" where this odd subculture of strange creatures called "vendors" would sell their goods and products that they had scrounged from the underbelly of the automotive society. some of said "vendors" would specialize in odd shaped pieces of bound paper called an "Owner's Manual", in which descriptions of all the basic controls and operations of a vehicle could be found.
these mythical "Owner's Manual" books also contained valuable information on the maintenance and upkeep of a vehicle. the people back then had to rely on these "Owner's Manual" things for nearly all of their information on how things worked on the vehicle, and would actually, now get this, would actually take this "Owner's Manual" thing and go out to the vehicle, and read through the "Owner's Manual" while going over the actual items on the vehicle, familiarizing themselves with the vehicle and the levers, pedals, controls, etc, on said vehicle.
i know this is a really far out there stretch of the imagination to comprehend.

fortunately, in the times of today, these reclusive "Owner's Manual" objects have been rescued from the dark recesses of oblivion, and are brought to you in glorious images, which you can see on your computer monitor. since the vehicles and books are different from year to year, a listing of what year the vehicle is will help even the most inexperienced searcher find their way in the sea of information available to them on this here website.

First two things I bought for my bus..
1972 Owners Manual (in very nice condition)
Bentley Shop Manual.
They are like having my very own un-plugged internet right there with me in the garage!

For your next writing project please address the need to get one of those thick paper things with lots of words, numbers and pictures called a service manual.
