That was 83mm with a stock stroke crank. Heads are stock valve size with a set of the springs that I sell installed. I just finished and test fired this engines twin, but instead of 83mm I used some 40hp 77mm that I turned into dometops (I'm working on a new page for the website for that one, it'll be a step by step for a really simple engine combo). The chambers on the cylinder heads were cut at a .060 stepcut to accommodate the .040 deck on the pistons, compression was at 7.8/1. Exhaust ports were cleaned out and matchported to the gaskets and exhaust. The cam is a stage two cam that all the German boys like. I think I'll monkey with the gear offset to make the cam come on a little later. I started with a 120 main jet here when I gave the boys the car with a selection of different jets to take with. They wound up putting in a 130 which was way big for the altitude in Bonneville. The color on the valves is tan, it does look pinkish in the picture (on the 1-2 side). I changed to a 118 jet for the 5 mile ride home, some of the black was already starting to blow out. The engine I just started on will have the 72mm stroke x 82.5 bore.
