Fun stuff, NOT a classified ad here.
Found these on the hunt today, note the invoice date, part numbers and price..wrapped in 1966 newspaper.

Some interesting data points:
Can you say "inflation" and "currency devaluation" ?
A documented 1966 dealer price for new (but already "obsolete")semaphores? or just a "lets blow these things out of here" price?

Question. I have never seen a semaphore in person. Is that a wooden casing around the coil? Or is it some kind of cheap cardboard material?

It's paper wrapped around it, they get withered like that over time. My NOS semaphores look exactly the same way.

Think I gave around $15 each for NOS semaphores near 30 years ago, from a friend who had bought some leftovers from a dealership.

That's the equivalent of ~$43.00 each in today's money.

Yes, 1966 prices were great -- if you can go back in time and play with your 2015 salary. Not so great on your 1966 salary. :D
