Hey Guys,
Just thought I would show you guys a photo album I have on the restoration of my 55 ragtop. It has been a bumpy road through the process, but in the end it will be worth it. I didn't find this car, she found me with original bill of sale from 55 and Wolfsburg Birth Certificate. She was painted in all camo when I got her.

To get back on topic after an impromptu local Aussie saying (beachside Sydney car buff talk circa 1980s)....... :D
Chris the highest compliments mate! Beautiful car/paint/panel line up etc. I presume you will be putting in red upholstery into both the '55 and the '56 (?).
I see the first few photos of the '55 (when it was camo outer) showed the original (?) colour as strato and it had red seats. If this is the orginal paint/seat colours then it rivals my favourite combo of all time in the late ovals...black paint with red upholstery. Both are beautiful colours in contrast IMO.
Really look forward to seeing how they turn out...duck's guts I bet (errr have you heard that one?) :wink: |

Thats's what I love about The Samba. You get to see awesome cars and you learn a few other things along the way. Sirzo I have to say, that is the first time I have heard that one, but all is good.
As for the 55', I can't wait to see more. I too am envious because my 57' is not quite that far yet. |

What modern color did that end up being? Saw your website where you said it was a BMW color?
Engine looks nice, hope you didnt glass bead blast the case. |
