Get yourself a Bosch AL-82-N(if it's new) X if it is rebuilt, puts out 55 amps and has a built in regulator.... The hookup at the alt is easy, BIG REG + to screw post.... Small blue/bluishgreen to the plug in terminal ans thin brown to the ground screw... Under the rear seat, remove the voltage reg. and connect the small bluish ones together (they go to the light in the speedo) and the big reg ones need to be connected GOOD and insulated well.
Beside that you need an ALT stand to replace the gen/oil filler stand,& I would get a new 12v pulley(spring for a good one german if you can find one!) unless yours comes off easy and is in good shape. And you may need to switch to a 10mmx900mm belt instead of a 9.5x905 one... That should do yah.... K
