The oil light will flicker at idle when the engine/weather is hot. I have turned up the idle just a 100-200 rpm which helped a bit. I cannot afford to do any engine work at the present time. 20 w-50 help keep pressure up a bit?
Thanks,

I run 20w50 all year in my '55 Bus because the oil light flickered when it was hot in Arizona > 100F. No problems for 12,000 miles.
A lot of people in Arizona run 40wt or 20w50 year round. |

I have run 20w50 in my VW's for fifteen years and wouldn't use anything else.Running it in a 40 horse will help unless there is also a knock in the bottom end, then its rebuild time. |

I used to run 20-50 in VW's but went back to 30wt because of blowing 2 oil coolers on other project VW's.
My 2 cents
