Haha. Any suggestions on how to go about it? Never polished a rusty car before (or any car for that matter). |

Can anyone tell me what this switch is supposed to do? It's missing the knob. it's the furthest switch to the right on the dash, next to the head light switch. I got an emergency flasher switch but it turns out that's not what goes there. This switch has two prongs witha brown and a blue wire going to it.
Also a little update. I cut some mirrors to fit my factory side mirrors. Waiting for the seals to show up from CIP1.

| Same switch. 6v on the 66 vs 12v on the 67. |

Another small update:
Wire wheeled and painted the rusty rear shelf (proper terminology?) with some red oxide:
Installed a rear dome light:
And sun visors (yay!)
Anxiously awaiting a new carb, electronic distributor, side mirror seals and front door grab handle from CIP1. Everytime I hear anything that sounds like a UPS truck I run and look out the window. Haha.
Also, one of my deck lid hinge pins broke the other day. What;s the proceedure for replacing them? Do you have to drill them out or can they be driven out witha punch? Also, does somebody sell replacement pins or do I need to find some bar stock to fit?
Edit:
I unbolted my flasher unit today and saw that it is a 6V unit, I assume this is why my turn signals flash once and stay lit. Is this the correct part to switch to 12 volts: https://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VWC%2D211%2D953%2D227%2DB |

New hinges are available. If you are replacing one, do them both. Kind of like head lamps.
Get two hinges and all the screws for +/- $30 to your door.

| Double check your wiring and grounds first before investing in new relays. Voltage 6v - 12v would change your blink speed, but shouldn't prevent operation. |

| Thanks eric. I'll be e-mailing you another list at some point. Do you have one of the other 2 wire emergency flasher switches that you can trade for the incorrect one I got from you? |

A switch is a switch... No voltage rating, I mean as far as 6 and 12V..
Your bus is looking great.. But I am partial to '66s.. 8) |

| I think I'm most likely going to sell the bus I just picked up. It got hit in the passenger front and the passenger side door will not open. It's a walk through which I like because I want to do a camper set up, I was thinking that it might be easier to repair the damage on this one than to fix all the rust on my first bus, but this one has only a little bit less rust. and also has some shoddy previous owner repairs. Any idea what this thing would be worth with no engine? Is it worth repairing or worth more being cut up? (not that I'd cut it up) I'll try to get some more pics. |
