does anyone know the correct bulb type for the license plate light on a '79 vert? i have the assembly, but the bulb is missing and i've searched but cannot find what the size / type / wattage of that bulb should be...

found it! it's a #89 bulb.

yes just looking at the socket, it looked like a ba15s, but they sell a myriad of different bulb shapes, sizes, and wattages, all with the ba15s base. i tried a few random bulbs i had in a drawer here, and while all had a ba15s base and fit into socket fine, none would physically fit into the bulb housing. so yes, at least here in usa, the correct one is called #89. |
