The SoundWagon is the world’s smallest portable vinyl record player. It is styled after the VW Bus from the 1970’s and plays the record by driving around the record. The SoundWagon is powered by a 9 V battery and plays the record thru a small speaker in the top of the bus.

Vinyl is another one of my indulgences. If you value your collection like I do, then you want to stay away from this thing. It will eat your best copy of Saturday Night Live in no time flat. Then you'll have to put your bell bottoms away for good. Neat though.

I have to agree. ^

Great idea, just like the retro looking record players sold at big name stores, POORLY MADE!

Since that episode aired, they have come out of the woodwork on eBay
(with a spike in the "buy-it-now" prices as well.)

Not as much as the breakfast cooking pig.....

They did show up on a regular basis before the show. The joy of being an old toy dealer.

I finally got one. Nearly MIB from eBay. I used to work a for a HiFi dealer who stocked them in the early 80s. They were tough on records then- and mine worked over an LP just a couple years ago at a club "show n tell" demonstration. Very fun though- mine is blue.
It's also my only bus that's currently running...
