Here the pictures of the pre series 16" single cab in Hannover at Volkswagen Oldtimer

This car has an internal VIN and has never been driven outside the factory. It was used as a garbage truck.

What's the story with the rear intake vents on the white transporter to the left of the SinKa?

From what I can see, it's a South African van.

They have vents which are very different from normal along with flush fitting windows.

Great photos Christoph, as always :)

It looks very different with a big front bumper and spoiler though!

Hey Christoph how did you get those photos? I was lucky enough to get into the old timer collection in Hanover a couple years ago and they made us sign a paper saying we would not take any pictures. Then they followed us around and watched us very closely. It's a pretty cool collection but also really missing some good stuff as well.

Welcome to The Samba and thank you for adding your very rare T3 to the very select group :-)

It's great that these rare vans are still being ddiscovered.

Please keep us updated with your progress and add more photos when possible :-)

I like how the first picture looks like the barn is mounted to the Sinka.

What an amazing first post Sir :!:

Please enjoy that beautiful vehicle.

I have wanted one in that condition for a very long time.

We didn't get them here in the States, unfortunately.

Welcome to The Samba holzvergaseratmos!

Great Syncro 16... it's really great to see these vans :D. Thank you for adding it to the post here on The Samba.

Did this come from Lars?

Any more shots of it?

Any factory extras? Front diff-lock? Tow-bar etc?

They would function as extractors. The low pressure area behind the van would pull air up a separate duct and out of the van

Edit: or from the interior as notes above
