L14 was called Reseda when it was used on 1952-early 53 convertibles. It was brought back for sedans in 1959 and renamed Mignonette, then never used again.

Love this color. It's one of those classy colors they just don't make cars in anymore. Nor do they make them classy :P

Gecko Green. Its metallic, but is a very close color match.
One thing I do like about the new beetles is that they lifted almost all the original beetle colors at one time or another. The classy bit, I do agree with.

^^^ Neither a classy car, nor Mignonette green. Though it is a nice color.

For some reason, they renamed all the colors they used.
Yukon Yellow became Mellow Yellow, but the color match is very, very close:

I would bet if you put a green new beetle next to a mignonette green 59, the colors would look vastly different. The NB green is metallic, too.

I happen to like that new beetle green, just not new beetles.

its pronounced "Min-yon-net" or in some areas its "Men-ya-nay"
