As much as I want to drive my van, I'm afraid I can't justify an average 17mpg for moving just my skinny butt around. Nope...it's the Hondas during the week and the Vanagon loaded with wife and kid on the weekend.
At least my '91 accord manual gets 30mph. The 2006 accord, more like 24 (those accords just got bigger and heavier with each generation)
Thanks oil futures speculators. You suck. |

Just wait until the summer blend is in and we are paying closer to $5  |

Yes, it's speculation, but it's also market forces. Peak oil, etc. I predict $10/gallon in the next several years--it almost has to happen with what is going on in China.
Good time to invest in bicycle manufacturers. |

So much for alternative fuels. I'm putting a chain drive and pedals in my van, and a mast on the roof! |

If gas hits $10 a gallon it won't be worth it to drive to work for a lot of people. |
