Sam65, puts up an ad stating he accepts the following:
Cash
Money Order
Bank Check
Personal Check

I emailed him last night and he said he would not accept Paypal.

I drove to the Post Office and mailed him a personal check, not 10 minutes after the Paypal email.

I got an email today, saying that he does not accept personal checks.

I wrote to him and explained to him that his ad clearly stated that he accepts Personal Checks and that I had already sent the check. I also tell him that this behavior seemed like a scam, not wanting any record of the transaction and I would let TheSamba community know of his behavior in the feedback forum.

He called me on the phone today and left a message, like I am trying to waste his time, saying he does not accept a personal check. I called him back and he told me the same thing, in a confrontational type tone and that I can go ahead and write whatever I want to about him in the feedback forum, well.

Learn how to present your items and learn some tact while you are at it, sam65.

Check has been canceled too.

Wrong, only now have you changed your ad to reflect your policy of not taking Personal Checks. Until I posted this in the feedback forum, it still said you accept Bank Checks/Personal Checks.

Why must your transactions be without a paper trail? Why the anonymity?

More importantly, why not admit the ad said you accept Personal Checks and that you did not tell me otherwise until 7am this morning?

Just received a 10 minute long phone call from Sam, I was informed that I was a whiner a pansy and that he and his friends would all be coming to find me and my family.

All this for posting this true and accurate feedback, here on TheSamba. Well if you don't hear from me in a while, I guess that would mean Sam65 made good on his threats.

For the record, the ad was edited and changed today.
I don't know exactly what was changed but I can confirm it is different than when I first looked at the ad after the first feedback post was made.

Off the topic but posting "no scammers" in your ad text is a waste of time.

I bought my 66' DC from Sam back in 2018. He was so helpful with the transaction to make it painless. I know he is always a phone call or text message away from providing advise to make my DC better. My family has enjoyed the bus I bought from Sam so much. Sam is an honest and fair person. He is a true VW enthusiast.

Sam is a trustworthy seller. I recently bought some deluxe coathooks from Sam. At first I was nervous sending him a bank check but he was patient when it took longer to get to him than was expected. He sent my parts soon after he received the check and they were packed well and arrived safely. I would buy parts from Sam again
