Well the show is only 5 months away. I guess that it is time to start talking about it!

Friday July 15, 2011
Cruise in and Concert
Freshfields Village
Kiawah Island SC
6-9 pm.

Saturday July 16, 2011
Drag Race, Car Show and Hot Dogs
Orangeburg Dragstrip
Neeses SC
11- midnight

PlaneJane will play on Friday and we will have a cruise in on the lawn again just as we did in 2009. That was an awesome night.

Saturday will have lots of racing this year. It is a SEVWA points race with all of their classes, ECPRA with their 2 classes, Unlimited Street, 6.90 index, and possible late night mini bike races!

Make your plans now. I will post the host hotel shortly after I confirm all of the details for that. Lot's of people are staying at Folly Beach the week after and that only means parties and bench racing on the ocean.

Lots of info to come over the next few months as I begin to put it all together. And as always I welcome all input from anyone.

This show starts off on Friday night with good food, live music, plenty of people to BS about your favorite VW.
Plenty of things to see and do around historical Charleston for the family. And of course Saturday afternoon til late that night......swap meet, show cars, and PLENTY of drag racing!

VW Dragnight has been great the past 2 years and I am sure it will get even better each year. Lets make this another great year for this show and be there!

Scott if you need help please let me know.

Well, I can't wait for Drag Night! We had such a blast last year! Is there camping allowed at the track on Saturday night? Dogs allowed?

Also, I will be bringing more of my Ginger Garlic Mustard and some Pickled Okra!

scottsain Mon May 02, 2011 1:54 pm

Hey guys. It's getting close. Still working on the final details but everything is pretty much wrapped up. Sponsorships are still open until June 15 to be on the shirts. It's only $100 minimum and all money goes toward the show/race. It is, as always, a non profit show. The track will allow trailer parking as early as Thursday so if you want to drop off the trailer and come down to Charleston for the Friday festivities you are welcome to do so. Let me know if you have any questions for the event. I am stoked!

Uh oh, another trip for this summer! The show and drags in Orangeburg last year were awesome.

I will definitely try to make it out to Charleston this time around. Maybe see about camping on James Island..

It's getting closer and this thread has lost it's flavor. I for one and stoked to make this trip again with what seems to be shaping up to be an even larger group than last year. For those who haven't made it to Scott's 'IN"Sain drag party, put your seat belts on tight it's a BIG time.
