Does anybody know where I can get locking wheel nuts for my new Alloys, front and rear?

If you have the original hubs you will need locking bolts for the front wheels and nuts for the rears. I just installed my new Rheins yesterday and found that the nuts for the rears are 19mm and the bolts for the fronts are 17mm.

I was trying to find locking 17/19mm nuts/studs when I got my Merc look-alike alloys a couple years ago. No luck, but then it occurred to me that in some ways mine are already 'automatically' locked.

With mine, in order to get the wheels off you need a 17 and 19 deep socket and a breaker bar; a regular socket or metric T-wrench won't touch them. Your usual wheel-stealing punk probably isn't going to have deep metric sockets with them (unless they already broke into the van and stole your took kit, in which case you have more problems than just losing your wheels).

I may live to regret my decision, but I've stopped looking for locking nuts and studs.

I have the S.A. wheels. I had to get 2 sets.
1 for the front 1 for the rear.
A pain but no fear of those rims going away.

I've heard that these Euro Locks are one of the best. They fit over top any 17 or 19mm bolt or nut. I've always meant to order a set for my Corrado.

Depending on what wheels and brake you have, you may need two sets as others pointed out. Vans w/ SA big brakes use studs front and rear just like Syncros. Other 2wd has studs and back and uses bolts up front. Later needs two different types of locks.

Then consider your wheel lugholes. There are conical seat and ballseats lugholes. Just like lugnuts and bolts, they need the appropriate type to match. PM me w/ additional details. I have some of both types of locks for sale.

I went through this last year. If someone wants your wheels it is a lot easier the steal your whole van than to take the time to jack up the van and take the wheels off. No locks for me.

Good question. It might not be an issue since they are so near the center of the wheel. They also may not weigh that much.
Maybe a tire shop would know how to compensate for it?

Edit: Found a thread where ECS posted these and a buyer posed the same question. They answered it shouldn't be an issue.
