Quote: About the Authors
Since I am 76, Janet thought it was time to settle down and become serious about something so we have decided to be serious about becoming authors/adventurers. On April 14, we will line up our 1967 VW Beetle with twelve other antique cars at Times Square to set out on the 2011 World Race. It will be the first of its kind since the famous 1908 Great Race. We will drive west, 14,000 miles, crossing the U.S., China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Switzerland and France. The rally will end at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This is far from being our first adventure, but it will be the most challenging because we will be competing against much younger teams and more powerful cars. We are told that the media coverage of the rally will include the New York Times, USA Today, Forbes Magazine and many other publications around the world.

The Author part? We have recently lived in Paris, rallied across the US, and traveled across Russia by train. We h ave used these experiences to write The Long Road to Paris, our newly released novel about an around-the-world car race with a lethal combination of international espionage, secret technology, and a dangerous romance. Perhaps the 2011 World Race will only include romance, but we expect our blog detailing our experiences will be equally interesting.

Our other experiences include jointly inventing a walker that is an international best seller and has revolutionized the way children with cerebral palsy walk. We have raised six children, home schooling the youngest two on our sailboat. We are still avid ocean sailors.
