ok i brought the net home and its sorta laid out on the counter. the bungees are stretched out i think by the way it was hanging in the bus and im not sure how to measure the length . it moves when you pull on it cause of the dimond shape. the knots in the diamond look like 1 11/16 apart. i could measure were the hooks are from front to back in the bus? what else do you need. |

With laid out on the table you really cant measure it .it moves if you pull it cause of the diamond shape. The hooks in the bus are 23 3/4 front to back. Not sure that helps. Let me know how you want me to measure the net and i will |

In your best guess..measurement... How big are the "squares"/"diamonds" on the net? Can you measure the over all with the net hooked in the bus? |

well from knot to knot its 1 11/16 so thats the measure for each square. it sags in the bus so i dont know how to measure it in there but the hook measurement is 23 3/4. there are 11 squares front to back and 11 squares left to right so the whole thing is square. hope this helps. let me know what else i can do |

OK.. I'm on the road to trying to make a net.. Can someone measure how far the loop knots are apart? and how many there are from front to back? Over all measurement would be nice too.. I have the hooks in my bus.. so i think i can figure out the rest of what in need. Thanks Bubba :D |

Resurrecting an old thread, question: what other Westy model besides SO23 came with a cargo net? |

so69, I've had both but Ive never compared them side by side, the so69 has a metal ring from memory the so23 definitely doesn't. |

Anyone eventually get a proper repo or OG version for an icebox so-23? If so, hit me up! |

I have one from an so-69, it does indeed have a chrome metal ring on three sides that the net attaches to. I can get pics or measurements if needed. |

I am working on reproductions.
I have a prototype I wove in my bus, hope to crank out some to sell when I have a little more time on my hands. Like other things I have tried to make for westys though, I'm sure someone else will make them before me and render my efforts futile! |

Sled,
Where did you source the material for the net? I've been pulling my hair out trying to source the material. I've woven a couple different versions for my bus, even though SO33 never came with one, but I would love to know your source for the material (bungee is sourced already)... |

Hello All,
Some of you might know I was working on it and some one of you might see some pictures.
I would like to introduce the brand New cargo net I made myself last time 8) The prototype net still need some small steel connetors but it is not a problem.
The Squares net, thickness of the rope and cord, Colors, knots etc in my opinion all the details are the same compare to original net !!!
Great thanks Frank and Neil for your help and support in this project.
I wish to start making the nets for Westy community in near future.
I will offer also the hooks with washers to hold the net in cargo area. The same like OE ones.
If you like you could write here a list of interested in buying the cargo net.
There will be two version small and big ones.
I still don't know the price so you have to wait. I wish to come back here with more information ASAP.
Be well,
Jacek
