The 2011 issue of the famous Mille Miglia Rallye rides actually through italy. Between all the douzends of 300 SL Gullwing, Bugattis, Ferraris, 550 Spider... are three vintage beetles. They maybe will not win the race - but they will be the winners of the hearts... The little green Diva belongs to Christian Grundmann, his father Traugott bought it in 1981 to get some spareparts for one of his Hebs. Within the past 5 month, Christian, his buddy Marcel and some friends realized the car in an authentic style.

The Millle Miglia Team have a very nice website with informations, actual status and the ranking of all cars.

I just read the feature on this car in Airmighty - is there a thread on it anywhere? I'm particulalry interested in the engine build as I'm looking to do something mighty similar :)

Cheers,

Dave
