I am assembling my swing axle. The transaxle was rebuilt by a professional, but it came without the side gears. I bought them separately. The spacer and circlip are new from yet another vendor. The axles came from vendor #4.
The problem is that when I put the side gear into the differential, it does not sink deep enough to allow room for the spacer and circlip.
Am I doing something wrong, or do I have the wrong combination of parts?

Count the number of teeth on the spiders and the drive 'cup'.
Offhand a 15 tooth cup matches with a 10 tooth spider and 17 with 11 tooth (or the other way around). |

Thanks. I figured it out.
I didn't have the spider gears spread properly. |
