Yes,
Its notched at the point just before my axles bind up.
I have to use limit straps to prevent emplosion of my CV's
Just in case
Also,
The thing suspension has a different pan torsion housing.
I notched The plates to give me 1 spline higher for the thing torsion.
Which is 16° Max
Since my bug travel is only 6° this was my solution.
If anyone has a secondary thought. Please give any thoughts.
I tried no keep from making it confusing |

Hey Dusty,
We finished 4 of 5 laps and 11th out of 22... On lap 1 we hit something with the left front in the dust and wounded the steering servo which clocked the steering wheel to about 2 o'clock, we lost some time checking it out then continued on. Lap 2 went well then about mile 7 on lap 3 the motor started make ill noises and we started losing power (the timing cover melted a hole in it and had started gathering debris and auto changed timing as the belt jumped a cog. We didn't figure this out until we got home :() Mile 9 on lap 4 the belt jumped again and we completely lost 2 cylinders and really started struggling on hills and in the silt, at mile 23 ish the wounded servo gave Dave a treat when it decided to only give him power steering to the right and he had to work to keep it strait then fight like hell to turn left! Through pure tenacity Dave got the car across the finish to complete lap 4. We headed back to the pits and tried to bubble gum, duck tape and baling wire the car to get 1 more lap out of her... We drove back and entered the course just past the start finish line and Chitty Chitty Bang Banged to mile 1.5 and the pour Girl wouldn't even limp up the first hill... We called 531 Chase for a tow and headed back for beer and tacos! A rough race will lots of Great Friends supporting our efforts... On second thought, I'd say we Won! |

Hi all. I am restoring this Sandrail my uncle built in 75. Does anyone know where I can get replacement front wheels like the ones picture. I think one of them is bent.

| I haven't seen those wheels offered for sale for many years. I believe they're no longer available new. But you MIGHT be able to find them through a WTB ("want to buy") ad in the Samba Offroad Classifieds. |

Thinking about running 235/75/17 on a baja. Going AWD 2x3 arms in the rear, a-arms up front, moved forward 2" and 2" wider per side. Anyone have issues with front tire scrub on the chassis with 31" fronts?

Who has Specs on this?
Just Thing spindles and a couple of notches in the rear?
Or just tall tires?
What are the Tire sizes here?
Brand?
Any other details would be super helpful for planning 🤙
This appears to be @CarochaTT 's Only Post on the Samba.
I'm considering something similar for my 70...

| I prefer 31 x 10.50-15 on 15x6 to 15x8 rims. leaning more toward the 15x6 or 15x7s. 9s or 10s are fine for sand dunes, but if you do much of any other sort of offroading the sidewalls are rather exposed and thus subject to damage. |
