This is a great thread!
We have a 9mo old son and we're hoping to take our first trip with him this summer when he'll be almost 1. |

Depends on how easy going and flexible both you and the child are. If you and/or the child are easy going, it will be *way* more fun and easy.
If you got the luck of a difficult child first time around, while still fun and you'll hear about it for years to come, it will certainly be more work. However, difficult children are difficult at home anyway, so may as well enjoy a change of scenery. Plus some difficult children are just better outdoors, which makes the entire trip easier and more fun!

What's more fun for a kid than running around outside and playing in the dirt? It makes it even more fun if you can go with other families and let the kids play while the adults enjoy some adult beverages in their camp chairs. My 4yo loves camping (in the Westy or not) and has been going since he was 4 months old. Can't wait for camping season to begin! |
