I have been told by a couple of samba members, that the Kellison Astra GT uses a 1963 to 1967 Chevrolet Corvette windshield with flat glass for the other windows. Also, the Fiberfab Aztec GT uses a 1963 to 1967 Chevrolet Corvette windshield with Aztec GT specific glass for the other windows. |

I don't know about the Astra Gt or Aztec Gt but the Bradley GT needs the Corvette coupe windshield for proper fit. The convertible windshield is close but leaves ugly gaps in the corners. |

Aquila - Pinto windshield, bespoke for the rest. All flat glass, though, should be easy to have cut to shape and tempered. |

Often, fiberglass is much thicker than the original flange the Windshield was made for. So, if you try & install the windshield...pushing, prying the moulding OVER the flange will result in a BROKEN windshield. Most kit car applications & directions will call for you to MODIFY the backside of factory mouldings & then intall the windshield & moulding FLUSH with the flange of your kit car & results in an UNBROKEN & NICE windshield installation. Using both double sided 3m glass tape as well as a correctly applied, even & smooth amount of silicone or other sticky adhesive..is what most kit car makes specify. This is usually more than enough strength & adhesion..to hold the windshield in place. This is a guide: for windshield moulding installation & each & every kit car, have unique variables regarding construction, fit & finish, & so on. :) The Bradley GT2 uses a lock strip moulding to secure the windshield, the Invader GT uses a modified Karmann Ghia, FLUSH mounted windshield method, to secure the windshield. |

Bump to the top for new offerings for Cimbria owners: new DOT legal windscreens will be produced by the end of the year 2011. These new screens are directly from a mold made from an existing screen, and will be available in clear and vintage '70's green tint (though technically illegal now, but may squeak through inspection depending on your states' legalities for kit cars). Glass will fit all year Cimbria, and you will need to re-use your existing rubber molding or source a generic if you want the OEM look. Price hasn't been set yet - it'll depend on the number of orders. For more info, contact this guy Fuzz [email protected] . |

UPDATE: Found it!
Windshield is from a 1951-1955 European Ford Consul/Zephyr...

For some reason I thought the zephyr/zodiac windsheild was different from the consul.
I have a 1959 Zephyr and last time i checked glass was still available, $400 though.

The '51-'55('56) models were same body as I recall; the only difference being that Consul had a 4-cylinder engine, and Zephyr had 6-cylinder.
