Just finished rewiring my SA split and started testing.
I do have one of wires left which is a worry that I can't work out, the - Ignition lock wire, complete with metal wound shroud?
Couple of other concerns;
1. Starter button actuates solenoid even when ignition key is not turned on?
2. Starter button causes solenoid to click but starter does not turn engine
Advice very much appreciated.

1) This is correct.
2) Bad connection, or low battery. Ground strap? |
