| Hi there! i have this engine block and serial number and was wondering if anyone could help me figure it what car it's from! Serial #2815762. Part #'s 111 101 102A and 111 101 101A. Thanks so much! |

| i forgot to mention it has a bearclaw stamp and the guy at the porsche dealership here in beverly hills said that might be of note. thanks again for your time! |

That was 1959, not 1939
Car? No, just an early (Probably Febr) 59 car.
Post a pic of the stamp; not sure what you mean.

right 1959 = typo - sorry. my question is if there is a way to find out if this is from a Porsche or a VW. I don't have a pic of the stamp of the bear claw and they may not be important. But here is the engine block/case.

It's a VW 36hp case.
Porsches did not use that case in 1959. |
