Hey folks,

I'm rebuilding my engine & using the above heads. I am going to be running a supercharger kit which uses a single carb suck through system.

It uses the single carb style twin port inlet system but obviously the oem inlets are waaay too small to match the heads.

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a large port single carb inlet manifolds out there.

I have looked at Empi & they appear to have a bit more meat on them to be able to open them up, but I cant find any specs to say how much by?

Cb has these, but the inlets are 2 inch OD

I believe they are best with a 2000cc or bigger motor

Hi,

& there sort of lies the problem. My bus is just a 1600 & unfortunately I'm across water in the UK so getting parts is crazy.

The cb heads I have are for a 1600/1641 build but cannot believe how oversized the ports are, I was hoping the empi manifolds had a little more meat to stock

Ok,

Looks like I will have to return these CB 044's, pity as they look stunning.

They have offered me some Empi GTV-2 heads for my 1600 which have the same 30mm inlet ports so will work fine on my single carb setup.

Has anyone had any experience of the Empi GTV-2 heads, obviously valve size is much bigger but port size isnt.
