I bet once you do a bit of work on her then look back on these pictures you'll see, edit: be amazed, how much difference a bit of care makes.

cheers

Welcome Lucy! I hope you have many fun miles and trips with her.

I was looking at your photos, and noticed the Rhode Island license plate. We lived there for 5 years before moving out here to CA, and we often talk about how we miss it there.

Enjoy Lucy.

Lists like this always remind me of "Ghostbusters" when Ackroyd wheels that ancient Cadillac ambulance into the garage.

Looks like a great van, keep us posted!

Hello,

Beautiful looking bus. Don't forget that Transporterfest is in Brookline on the Sunday of the Columbus day weekend. Plenty of busses to take a look at as well as as encouragement from others plus you might be able to snag a part here and there from people selling stuff in front of their vehicles.

Keep us posted on your progress. :-)

today's little effort
both rear hubs removed, and driven an hour outside the city so a friendly garage who'd let me use their press, to press out the old wheel bearings and press in the new ones and an hour home
once home refit the drivers side hub backing plate, change the wheel cylinder and fit the drum, next refit the right hand side hub, then the sky opened to give me and my tools a wash :(

i hope tomorrow i can finish the rear brakes and get them blead

rubbachicken Thu Oct 06, 2011 3:45 pm

today i had a third go at the gearbox, many thanks to mr stanagon and randy in maine today i had to loan of an alignment tool, more struggling it finally went in :D
all done and dusted, i found another dodgy brake line and replaced it, blead though the brakes and clutch
adjusted the e brake and took her in for an inspection

she only blooming PASSED  :D  :D

i cannot believe it, with the holes that are in her

i LOVE duct tape :D
