Fantastic history! Only you Björn to find that...
Have read (finally) and finished today the book "Birth of the Beetle" and looks that this one is in one pic... or a very close one... |

My fascination of the world war II vws has led me to search the net practically the whole day up to the time i would go to bed. And my current project is a Kubelwagen replica, which I am totally hooked for now!! But these pictures are the most detail pictures of the Kubelwagen prototype I have seen on the net! This is too awesome! It is only a surprise that this thread was not that "hot" as it should have been! Nevertheless, I really appreciate Björn Schewe for sharing these pictures and the story.
......... and I know my reply is a little late! |

First time I stumbled across this thread.
Again, thanks for the awesome info and pictures. I saw the vehicle at Hessisch and knew that it was a prototype. But that only 5 were made I didn't.
The Grundmanns are absolutely awesome. My kudos go out to them for making all this possible and for showing the vehicles to all of us.
