Very cool reading. I actually enjoy the "lost in translation" phrasing and syntax.

I updated the links in the original posting above.

Here are a few photos the owner sent me:

Fun Car 8)

Very nice car - but it would be interesting if the owner really believe, that this is a real car from 1941. The chassisnumbercode is not correct, all original type 87-numbers had a special VR-code, 41-xxx never exist as a chassisnumber. The car looks very similar to a welldone Replica, I have visited a couple of years ago in czech republic. It is one of the best detailed recreations of the Type 87 I have ever seen....

The only thing wrong with the car is the semaphores. it should have the ribbed type yes? apart from that everything down to the bonnet handle is correct

Björn Schewe Tue Jan 24, 2012 1:10 am

The semaphores are not the onliest wrong details - but the builder of the car made really a good job.

Agreed, I think the steering wheel is not correct, but a beautiful job non the less.

the dead giveaway is the area in the trunk, around the tank and spare tire area, proves its a post war car

Vic makes his blackout headlamp covers from fiberglass...
but he has a nice collection of old military rides, even US trucks
