I found like 5 of them at my local Walmart, so there's no need for Ebay.
Every time I go to Walmart, et. al., I look... I was overjoyed to find Filmore a week or two ago, because VWs are far and few between in my area. Either the stores aren't stocking them, or because I live in the big city VW people are snatching them up in bulk quantities. I'll be checking Target today, but eBay was a "better safe than sorry" purchase.

Ditto, but I had the blue one. In fact, I remember the day I got it; I stood there in the toy store at the Hot Wheels turnstile in the Arcadia Mall for about 10 minutes trying to decide between just the van, or the van + travel trailer (yes, one version came with a trailer hitch + trailer!). That van was played with so much the sparkly dark blue paint chipped off. It's long since been retired from play and has a prominent spot, next to the orange one I got off eBay, at the front of the "van/bus shelf" in the VW display cabinet. Can't wait to add the 2011 green one!! I commend Hot Wheels for re-creating the Sunagon... never in a million years would I have thought they would! |

I'd really love to have one of these, it's a radio controlled vanagon. I'm sure that some one
from GB will chime in and tell us more about it. Got the pic off tozovr's facebook page.
He doesn't post here much since he sold his van. Anyway it looks cool!
Here's link to a a model forum.

I have both an orange and a blue one. :D
If they are available new from Wally world, I'm hoping Santa found one to send to me here in Korea. |

don't forget to change the fuel lines - you'll never know ;-)
love it - I used to buy Matchbox versions of the cars that I owned. Still missing the Vanagon but I was nice this year so I'll probably get either the Diecast version or the Lego Vanagon for sure... |

I have the blue Sunagon, but it's packed away... They also released a VW Brasillia in this years collection.
Here's my current Vanagon scale collection.
Revell 1:25 Westy
Various diecasts; Classixx & Minichamps. There's a missing Schabak Syncro somewhere, too, that the VW parts dept used to sell.
I have a couple more of the camper kits; I'm planning a Karmann Gipsy build over the winter using a AMT camper shell, and a Syncro Westy using Jeep wheels and a Subaru drivetrain. |

Orange and Blue have a new stablemate! :D
I went to several different local stores and didn't find a one... I'm glad I went the eBay route. |

| My nephews, who think the van is the coolest thing ever, are each getting one of these new green campers in their stockings. With an extra one ordered for me, of course! |

FYI: If you seek more... my wife found them at Target in Tucson so perhaps PHX Targets have them too. |

the mirrors and antennas on the Minichamps cars are VERY delicate and fragile. the cars are super nice and detailed, but those bits won't survive any real handling or any 'play' |

Funny; Target was the first place I went. They had a grand total of about 4 of the "hot ones" packages hanging and none were a Sunagon. Same at Toys R Us and my local Fry's (this grocery store has Hot Wheels galore in the toy section, but not a single "hot one"). It might depend a lot on a specific store, but around my area (north side of PHX), VW toys are hard to find. :( |
