Here is a pic of a poly seat in my buggy and the PRP Roadster next to it.
This was my first install of my new seat and after a week of thinking I came up with rotating the adapter bracket to get it lower.
The poly seat could go lower if I would have totally butchered the original mounts but as it was mounted they were too high and I looked right through the windshield frame.
With the PRP's I found I could turn the angle bracket around and it sits at least 2 inches lower than the Poly seat.
This is the way the angle adapter needs to be to get the seat to be as low as it can go when using the Manx mounts.
I don't know if they would fit in my buggy without the Manx mount but that would probably save 3 inches but for me it would be too low.
I look right through the upper center of the windshield now.
I doubt that I could get the PRP any lower without giving up adjust-ability and rear travel due to the taper of the rear tunnel. I can't get my fingers between the seat and the tunnel the way it is now.
I just happen to have my body off so here is a quick shot of the mounting clearance.
PRP Roadsters are good for a 38 inch wide butt and that is about it. I hate to say that I am pushing it now.....
All in all I have to say they are worth every penny for my comfort.

For go the "Manx mount" and mount sliders directly to floor (with appropriate spacers to get angle correct) ..... That is how I did it with my PRP seats...

I have the first seats you posted and I find them fine.. I'm 6'4 and wanted to be as low as possible in the buggy. I have the covers and 1.5" of foam and I find them great. |
