Fellow Vanagonisti,
Lets us remember with our hand on our heart the bestest Vanagon driver ever on TV. (Magnum P.I).
Namely Roger E Mosley who passed away 3 years ago today.
TC piloted a multi-coloured 'Brick' with such skill, panache and style.

Yes, indeed!
TC's van tribute has been on my mind for almost 25 years before I had seen anyone do it.
I finally got a sunroof 86 van the other day that's gonna be a good base to do it, just like one of the vans in the show had a sunroof.
I already have the classic fake mesh original plastic hubcaps, also have the stainless steel ones to choose from.
One of their vans had Mercedes Bundt wheels but even thought I have 10 lof these, I'm no fan of the look, prolly bc I had a Westy with them and quickly got rid of them.
Hopefully I can have Quentin's Garage in Vancouver Island do the body work for me.
I wanted to keep a VW engine in it, all OG to the tee, but I can't, it'll be my old EJ22 phase 1 with automatic transmission.
License plate hopefuly will be TC VAN since MAGNUM is taken in Hawaii.
Still debating if I should keep the electric mirrors or not, that's kind of a faux pas but I love them so much better the floppy crap.
Aloha! |

Nice tribute, wasn’t a regular viewer of the show but now recall Roger and the Vanagon.
VIP.
